Veronica Quintanilla is a makeup artist who always enjoyed being the resident makeup artist at home. After graduating from Cinema Makeup School in 2022, she knew that she wanted to start gearing her attention towards special effects. She has worked on-set of short films, sculpted prosthetic appliances, and has worked as a lab assistant at CMS.

Raised among diversity and all of the creativity in the Bay Area in Northern California, Veronica has always been drawn to special effects. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Cal State East Bay and enjoys integrating the psychological perspective into creature and concept design. She loves being behind the scenes and helping to conceptualize what makeup or effect a project is looking for. Shortly after lab assisting, Veronica began as a production assistant and coordinator at CMSDSI where she helped to develop and establish the 3D scan and print lab. 3D sculpting and printing has become a passion of hers that she has been able to cultivate as she has continued her artistry. She has been working to incorporate these skills into as many aspects of makeup design as possible. Scanning, sculpting, molding, and casting are all areas in which she is working to technologically enhance the process of makeup development.
